- gwd 3y agoI think the technical term is "editorialized". The title should be, "VisionPro will require Apple Silicon", which is far less interesting.

- airza 3y agoFour year old devices running different cpu architectures end up creating a pretty sizable chunk of all software though.
- Brian_K_White 3y agoDifferent archtiecture is utterly irrelevant. No one is developing watch apps on a watch, all development is cross develooment, even if the architectures are similar. There is no actual technical limit here, only a typically inconsiderate policy one. Any architecture may produce any collection of bits for any other, and even run them and test them. Every m1 user sees this every day when they continue to run intel apps.
