The guy had obvious mental health issues. It feels disingenuous to blame an AI chat bot. It’s a classic case of the media calling out the AI boogeymen for clicks. The story wouldn’t be so interesting if “Ai chatbot” wasn’t in the title
- NikkiA 3y agoAlso disengenious given that people will assume chatgpt style chatbots, but the queen died before chatgpt became generally available, meaning this was likely some eliza level bot (and the quotes suggest that too).
- bazmattaz 3y agoOhh good spot. I tested one theses tools a few years ago - I tried to get its opinion on religion and if a god exists. I noticed it couldn’t form its own opinion on the matter it just tried to agree with what you thought. It would constantly try to please me with what I think it wanted to say. So it doesn’t surprise me that it responded that killing the Queen was a swell idea
