I'm surprised it's such a small number. It's been a bit more than 8000 days since 9/11. So the US federal government spent about $1BN/day, or about $3 per person per day. So, from all the taxes I've been paying to the US government over all these years, they have taken $3 each day and allocated it to wars. If that's the case, there's a good chance I spent more money at Starbucks over the same period.
