Tazers have electronics that record when they're used, and disperse little papers to mark where they were fired.
It's crazy to me that we haven't enforced a similar audit log on police firearms, such as when they were withdrawn, armed, and used.
- giardini 3y agoOh, believe it, every time a police officer suffers an inadvertent firearm discharge there is plenty of "auditing". He'll likely be off for at least 3 days and undergo additional training and be kidded for years.
