‘This Is a False Advertisement’: X Ads Are Being Challenged by Reader Context

It's always amusing to read news stories about how this or that agency is doing all this work for "fight disinformation", over an advertisement that assures me "battery acid tastes great!" or "our stream of regurgitated propaganda and press releases is more informative than the other channel!"
- bediger4000 3y agoAbout time. Advertising is usually untruthful and if reader added context counteracts advertisers' lies that seems like a good thing.
