#define RAW_BUFFER_SIZE 65536 ... bytesin=read(STDIN_FILENO, raw_buffer, RAW_BUFFER_SIZE); read() cuts off at 16384 on most systems I've tested, so this will probably not work as expected without checking the read hasn't truncated. 16k is probably more than enough though?
