- fransje26 3y agoThe time-on-wing before overhaul advertised for the CFM56 is 10'000 hours. Now, take your car, drive it for that long at 50 kph, and you come out at 500'000 km (or 312'500 miles, if that's how you tick.) before major components need inspecting and/or changing. That's how good the parts are, and how well the traceability of those parts is working.
