I 3d printed a stand for my watch which embeds the charging puck, and so whenever I take it off for any reason, it just goes on the stand. It doesn't even really stand out as a task unnatural enough to need tolerating, kinda at the level of hanging your clothes on a hook/hangar after changing. For all other situations, I just have to stick the watch to the back of my phone to charge it, so don't even need to carry around a separate watch charger.
