Yeah it's almost impossible not to overshoot the Ballmer peak. http://xkcd.com/323 http://xkcd.com/323 Although back in the day playing Q3A I remember not playing worse after 1 or 2 glasses. After some deliberation, the reason: slightly under influence, I'd play a bit more relaxed, have a bit more time to aim at opponents, and thus the '1st strike' would be slightly more often in my favor. Alcohol not affecting my aim, or evasive manouvres too much. Drawback was limited as one tends to be less of a target while not shooting yourself. So with 1, maybe 2 glasses pro- and con effects were a wash. Above that & responses became too slow.
