- TerrifiedMouse 3y agoOften when you say someone is right or left wing, there is an implicit assumption that that person buys into this and that. Carmack IMHO can best be described as an independent - some of his opinions will just so happen to align with one side or the other.
- shortrounddev2 3y agoNo, when you say you're right or left wing it means you have the same opinions as people on one end of the spectrum or the other. Nobody is "independent" in that sense, only in party affiliation. Being someone who complains about statists and avows their support for the 2nd amendment sounds like a textbook conservative
