I don’t think anyone’s knocking the work but there is a tendency to see the success of that as inevitable in hindsight. After all the probability of success now is 1. But at the beginning of each venture the probability of success definitely doesn’t feel like it would be certain. When people say luck is involved it’s remembering that feeling because there are a whole bunch of external factors you can’t control for involved in the success of any venture. I also think this kind of content marketing is effective largely because it is designed to rile people up.
