"Bluetooth" seems to be the reporter's misnomer for unspecified RF, possibly LoRa, NFC, WiFi, or actual BT. And, more confusingly, they don't actually report if it's a pump implant with RF capabilities or there's a wireless vulnerability in the pump. Most of the time, the pumps are modified in some subtle way. I would suspect a wireless implant. Gas station owners need to apply security seals to their pump's electronic doors and check for sabotage regularly (skimmers, holes, and other damage).
