Something is breaking in financial markets
- mensetmanusman 3y agoGlobally, Boomers are retiring and the labor force is shrinking. This is putting upward pressure on wages and contributing to inflation. The economy is trying to figure out which industries are worth having, because we can’t afford everything we had with fewer workers.
- _8j50 3y agoNah, China been carrying the west but now they're too hostile , developing a lot, aging and need the west less. The west in the meantime can't figure out how to migrate to the globalsouth due to bad history and incompatible world views. They can give jobs to others in the west but that means less profit. Either governments force change in one direction or capitalism does.
- kylebenzle 3y agoI still believe that the economy, "broke" in 2008 when we started QE1, that was the end of reality and when we first went down the rabbit hole. When the people that print the money decide to print money and give it to their friends then that is no longer a functioning economy, certainly not sustainable. Hyperinflation is a result of printing too much money and there is no way out.
- fuzzfactor 3y agoEven worse for the workers, the billionaires can no longer afford the kind of things they were spending money on when their cost of borrowing was insignificant.
