Sadly, this has been the cornerstone of american culture for the last seventy years. AirBNB & the chase of "passive income" are only exacerbating this.
- afterburner 3y ago400 years. A huge part of the allure of expansion was land speculation. The biggest corporate colonial players pushed to expand west in order to be able to take land that would later develop into new settlements, making it far more valuable.
