- akomtu 3y agoIndeed, that's the second layer of meaning. Yet another meaning is that in eastern philosophy, mastering symbols is how one develops the higher abstract mind, so it can see truths directly, rather than relying on the rational mind that's called "the destroyer of reality" for its ability to bury truths under piles of thought models.
