Does anyone know how long the support model is for Chromebooks?

10 years of full OS updates. https://blog.google/outreach-initiatives/education/automatic-update-extension-chromebook/ https://blog.google/outreach-initiatives/education/automatic...

If the Chromebook project itself survives so long.

It has been around for 12 years so far. Also, the OS is mostly open source, and modulo some security features, can be run on non-Chromebook hardware. So even if Google stops developing it, it can be carried forward.

Oh definitely. But there wouldn’t be Google’s updates to a dead project, even if it wouldn’t stop working like Jamboards.
