On android (and maybe iOS?) apps define seperate notification channels for each category, and you can turn off specific channels quickly by sliding over on the notification in OxygenOS. Most apps I've seen have specific channels for marketing including food delivery apps. So it just took a few days of turning off junk notifications whenever I saw them to totally clean them up. I now only get the ones I want.
