AI pilots. AI all the things.
- defrost 3y agoAnd? Exactly how good right now are AI autonomous drones at handling wind sheer conditions in close quarters? Just mumbling AI ALL UR BASES isn't exactly a constructive response without some notion of capability now and in the near future.

- defrost 3y agoShouting an answer to the unasked question, that of a fighter jet in a high-speed, high-G dogfight. Do you have anything on the actual question regarding a probable issue .. turbulent conditions in close quarter hovering? From your own link: The AlphaDogfight simulation on Aug. 20 was an important milestone for AI and its potential military uses. While this achievement shows that AI can master increasingly difficult combat skills at warp speed, the Pentagon’s futurists still must remain mindful of its limitations and risks — both because AI remains long away from eclipsing the human mind in many critical decision-making roles. Open sky manoeuvres of the "dog chasing other dogs tail in cicles" are simpler than many other control scenarios.
