You know an empire is marching towards its expiry date When the administrative state gets so heavy that they have to spawn new agencies for rather mundane tasks.
- keepamovin 3y agoI don't know, I mean I get the general "finger on the pulse" of the decaying system notion. I think it's a valid way to measure in a kind of cool, little bit edgy way, how close a bureaucracy is to "expiry". But I don't think that's what's happening here. Think of it like software, and security vetting process is like a cross-cutting concern. It makes sense to factor it out into its own agency rather than have (although this still persists a bit) every sponsor doing their own process.
