What a terrible name for a project, too. There is already a very healthy, thriving and rapidly growing industry around spatial computing, with its roots in geospatial information science. In fact, most large government organisations, councils, and a great many large organisations have spatial teams. Naming your project "spatial" is the functionality equivalent of attempting to take over an existing name space that is already heavily used. It's confusing, and a prroly thought out move.
Also, requiring Java? Come on.
