- mathisfun123 3y agodon't get seduced - this is nothing more than a (dead) core generator implemented in chisel. it was written back when people thought chisel was gonna take the HDL world by storm (spoilter alert: it did not). there have been successor projects but imho they're all worthless - no RTL designer worth their salt uses these kinds of tools and instead prefers to write verilog/vhdl.
- brap 3y agoIt took me about 20 clicks to get to a damn code snippet
- anakaine 3y agoWhat a terrible name for a project, too. There is already a very healthy, thriving and rapidly growing industry around spatial computing, with its roots in geospatial information science. In fact, most large government organisations, councils, and a great many large organisations have spatial teams. Naming your project "spatial" is the functionality equivalent of attempting to take over an existing name space that is already heavily used. It's confusing, and a prroly thought out move. Also, requiring Java? Come on.
- firtoz 3y agoAs someone who worked on a project called SpatialOS within a unicorn, I agree.
- philipov 3y agoAnyone here ever use a language called COSY Infinity? https://www.bmtdynamics.org/cosy/ https://www.bmtdynamics.org/cosy/ I remember helping my mother program some of these things for her thesis. It's for doing beam physics simulations, but I wouldn't call it high-level. Quite an experience.
