Chrome has a lot of little things that makes it feel smoother for me, e.g. the browser launches a little bit faster, closing multiple tabs is accessible in one menu click (compared to a second level menu in Firefox), easier access to create and switch between profiles, incognito window that is visually distinct from a regular window, etc. None of the little things are absolute must-haves, but the little things do add up.
