The obvious solution is to switch from plastic back to paper tires. /s But seriously, I think EVs help with lower brake emissions, since regeneration is a different process. The issue with tires is at least partially a choice: drive like a normal person and you don’t have to emit (much — there’s still the extra weight) more tire bits. I wonder if it’s possible to design tires from materials that will biodegrade in the ocean/environment, or at least sink?
