I have read and helped implement GDPR in my country. It's the greatest thing that happened to online privacy, finally a law that has teeth and can influence big tech. It empowers me as a citizen and makes me feel my data has value again.
I have high hopes digital markets act will be as good.
- personomas 3y agoYou're crazy. Meanwhile our economies are literally beginning to shrink, our enemies are becoming stronger than us then going to war against us (Russia, Azerbaijan, Serbia, China, North Korea) and the world is on fire. But I am so happy your data is safe - like anyone gives a shit about you anyways.
- brabel 3y agoYou should consider trying to be a bit less aggressive if you're actually trying to improve the world. It's because of some people having such extreme, aggressive behavior that conflicts (such as the ones you're complaining about) start.
- personomas 3y agoI don't think I'm being aggressive. I think you should be less presumptuous. It's hard to imagine that his data is so important, that he's so wanted, that people care about his so much, that GDPR will make any difference whatsoever on his life. On the contrary, the world is burning, clock is ticking, and you're complaining about me being aggressive on HN?
