I don’t know if that’s true. I currently live in Europe but lived most of my life in the US. I’ve had amazing Italian and Indian food, and more authentic, in Amsterdam, than I ever had living in the US (lived in multiple cities and regions). Also incredible fresh Mediterranean food in Amsterdam and Switzerland, in addition to Mediterranean countries. I’ve had delicious food in the US, but it was usually so good because of fat/salt content. When I have good food in different European countries, it’s more the freshness of the ingredients and preparation, as well as unique flavors. It’s rare to find food as fresh as I’ve gotten used to in Europe when I visit the US now.
