One big difference I noticed when visiting France. They have strict laws against advertising non wholesome foods and drinks to kids. Its amazing how much of our advertising effort is spent on getting kids to ear and drink candy/soda/etc. You don't notice how pervasive it is until you experience the total lack of it.
