My next motorcycling frontier is to get better at using the clutch in low-speed maneuvers. I've only ridden as large as 650cc class machines for any real length of time and they're small enough such that I can get away with modulating the back brake more than the clutch for tight turns. I'd like to be able to do this type of stuff clutch-only - I'll probably give that a shot in an empty parking lot in an hour or so.
- hknapp 3y agoMake sure you have enough throttle when making a right U-turn. On some bikes, especially sport bikes, it's difficult to keep enough throttle when you are at full lock going right.

To be clear I have no trouble going full-lock to either side but I definitely rely too much on dragging the rear brake which is what I'd like to fix just so that I have more tools at my disposal. I did notice today that the shorty levers I installed on my Honda only give me three fingers of leverage instead of four like this video was talking about - I'm going to have to see how much that affects my left-hand endurance.
