Show HN: Monkey patch linux inotify events into macOS

- josephcsible 3y agoCould you open a dummy FD pointing to /dev/null each time an inotify "FD" gets created? Then you wouldn't have to use hacks to come up with an FD that the kernel will never issue.
- juniorrantila 3y agoI suppose that could work, but then it'd be harder to keep track of which fd is custom, we'd have to search through a map each time we call close() for instance.
