He was diagnosed two weeks before Christmas (2007). The Make-A-Wish trip to visit Spider-man was the following July (they work quickly!), and last time he was healthy enough to be up and about.
He passed away three week later, just before his fourth birthday.
... and that's why an article about Batman made me cry.
