How to Turn Off Google’s “Privacy Sandbox” Ad Tracking–and Why You Should
- chiefalchemist 3y agoYes, it's easy. Stop. Using. Chrome. We need to stop accepting bad behavior from notoriously bad actors.
- wkat4242 3y agoYes. WEI is even going to be worse. It's going to kill the open internet. I don't understand why people like it so much because it's not even a great browser. Firefox is a lot better IMO and not just privacy-wise. I think it's just that people don't know any better. The same way they didn't know any better than IE until MS let it get so bad they had to get something else.
- chiefalchemist 3y agoNearly every agency / contract I've been on in the last X years, the company used the Google Suite. At that point, Chrome becomes the obvious choice even if it's not necessary. Mozilla needs a similar offer. Not to compete with Google or MS per se, but to give ppl a choice from a company where the user isn't the product. I understand that's a big ask, but it would help. Yes, some ppl don't know, but there are plenty that don't care. Afaik, ever other dev I know uses Chrome. Those ppl should *know* who and what G is and does. It's embarrassing really.
- wkat4242 3y agoAll the companies I know (all major enterprises though) use Office 365. I didn't realise google suite was so common.
- chiefalchemist 3y agoYeah, MS is enterprise and I believe higher edu. Everyone else is G Suite for the most part.
