We used to call this hotlinking and it was and still is a dick move
- sbarre 3y agoI remember some popular sites would detect and swap out hotlinked images for, let's say, less-than-savoury images instead.

- starkparker 3y agoWell, JWZ is the prime example considering that jwz.org would replace hotlinked images with a photo of testicles. So, every image on every blog post to jwz.org when viewed on, say, Google Reader.
