Am I the only person here that has found FreeRDP to be really good? I used to use it a lot in my previous job. I never had a compat issue, the distro-packaged version worked fine, performance was perfect, it even had less bugs than the Windows RDP client (like weird tray balloon z-order stuff). Perhaps you are all using some frontend to it and that adds issues? Not sure. I ran it on the commandline. My only serious complaint is lack of printer passthrough. That's it.
