You will never know how many people actually know stackoverflow. If that is the case, why don't everyone grab stories from buzz, mixx or digg and post them here

  That's brilliant! I know, how about I just write a bot that circulates the highest rated stories amongst all the news aggregators? If a story can't be submitted, it'll just obfuscate the url. Given that these stories have a half life, where new members will not have read them and will find them interesting, all submissions are pretty much guaranteed good karma. It'll be called nirvanabot.
