During the beta I had to use proton to be able to start the game and was getting anxious about the state of non-Windows versions, but it launched natively and it works fine. Now you can run a native client on Wayland and pipewire. The only big issue I've seen is CPU starvation on the servers during the launch, but that should get fixed soon.
