With a USB 3.0 port and a USB-to-Ethernet adapter you should be able to. Not all adapters support 1 Gbps but with USB 3.0 it's definitely possible.

- rjsw 3y agoI'm getting close to line speed with a USB 3.0 Ethernet adapter plugged into a laptop, so the adapter itself shouldn't be the bottleneck. I get 109KB/s ftp transfers to a NVMe drive.
