80% of the time people should display a table, 15% a time-series or line chart. The other 5% is probably wrong. Anyone that asks for pie charts, 3d charts,... isn't a real data user ;)

- greazy 3y agoThere are plenty of options. Treemap, waffle chart, a bar plot. There's nothing special about demographic data.
- richardw 3y agoI once added a speedometer for production rate compared to avg over previous X weeks, as a widget demo. It ended up on every exec’s dashboard and on a big screen. I’m not sure what they were trying to manage, but it was purdy and looked dashboardy.
