Uber, cab companies forge ride-sharing arrangement
- ProllyInfamous 3y agoThis is a neat, shorter-term solution: On one hand, I am thrilled to see a tech/driver collaboration, with professional lifetime drivers (VS part-time uber/lyft); On the other hand, I see this as perhaps a trial run for what to do with all the then-driverless taxicabs (perhaps in as few as a couple) years from present. -- myPOV: I do not have a smart phone, so I still would schedule with a taxi (voice call) if I didn't have my own vehicle available (e.g. "car in the shop" or traveling).
