Elon Musk Disables Option to Report Misinformation on X/Twitter
- tiahura 3y agoOne has to wonder at the psychological forces at play in those who so invested in narcing on others over tweets. The shift to ethereal data streams should've given us more freedom, but instead, too many insist on a digital world where we're pointing fingers and shouting "misinformation!" Where we should be embracing discourse and the messy nature of truth, we're instead building a tattle-tale culture.
- manuelabeledo 3y agoSometimes, it is just "misinformation". And pointing that out is, well, part of the discourse.

- tiahura 3y agoYou're right, of course. It's not the shouting that I take great exception to, it's the pathological need to control exercised by suppressing opposing ideas and punishing those that engage in wrongthink.
- manuelabeledo 3y agoI wonder if this is just a consequence of Twitter disbanding their moderation teams.
- theandrewbailey 3y agoUh oh. Whatever will we do if we can't tattle on someone for lying? \s
- camdenlock 3y agoI mean… good? Let users sort it out through that community notes thing.
