- qD29Lno-oKXPLEv 3y agoqutebrowser doesn't really use webkit anymore. It was an alternative browser engine, but even the developers say that it isn't recommended. It now uses the QtWebEngine, which is chromium based: https://github.com/qutebrowser/qutebrowser#requirements https://github.com/qutebrowser/qutebrowser#requirements
- lufte 3y agoQtWebKit is not recommended but it is still available if you want it: https://qutebrowser.org/doc/help/settings.html#backend https://qutebrowser.org/doc/help/settings.html#backend. There is a ticket to remove it completely which is now targeted for V4 (https://github.com/qutebrowser/qutebrowser/issues/4039 https://github.com/qutebrowser/qutebrowser/issues/4039) but, in reality, you could still use it.
