Show HN: Using AI to bet on soccer games. $5,200 profit so far
In the last month, I whipped up and started testing this cool custom tool that uses AI to suggest good bets for live soccer games, mostly focusing on stuff like "+2.5 goals" and "+1.5 goals."
So far, it's been pretty spot-on about 80% of the time, and it's brought me over $5,000 in profits. But now, I am not sure about the next step:
- Was it just luck, or can I keep counting on this kind of success?
- Up to now, it's just been me using it. Should I think about selling access to others or just keep it to myself?
- What kind of legal stuff do I need to watch out for if I want to sell it? I'm guessing I've got to be real careful with how I pitch it.
Any thoughts or advice on this?
- ChumpGPT 3y agoStart a subscription service of the picks for each weeks matches. Here in the US you can subscribe to a service that gives you their picks. Or you can just keep it to yourself and bet on those matches, why sell the golden goose?
- echeden 3y ago"Why sell the golden goose"? I think the difference is that having other people using it wouldn't impact my own strategy/gains. It's not like all these "dropshipping gurus" selling a course and literally creating competitors for themselves.
- KomoD 3y agoIf you're making so much money, why would you sell it? I smell BS
- echeden 3y agoThat's the thing: I am strongly considering keeping it for myself. But at the same time, I could also sell it to a limited number of people, get paid for it and use the money to finance my own bets. Having few people copying my bets wouldn't impact my own gains.
