Terrible and sad! I've come across issues on my Linux machine too. Gnome's Evince Document Viewer will display a Postscript file just fine, but printing just produces blank pages. Maybe it's a printer issue? But I have tried different printers. I use Postscript to generate labels. Much lighter weight than TeX and way easier to code than PDF. But now I have to convert them to PDF in order to print.
