Big Tech Lobbyist ‘Stunned’ People Think Planned Obsolescence Is Real
- jqpabc123 3y agoYes, this is what happens when hardware vendors have control and drive a market segment. Software is not a source of revenue, it is an expense. In a capitalist economy, expenses tend to be minimized whenever possible. Hardware vendors have little incentive to spend money on software updates. By the way, hardware vendors *love* open source. It is effectively what facilitates their control in many cases.
