While on a personal level I can empathize with the author, it is not because I'm such a perfect person. Based on the timeline this experience has been eating him since more than a year, and it bursted out of him just today. Publishing this 16 months ago would have been seen as a knee-jerk reaction. Now, 16 months after it has happened, it is just petty. Get over it. Open source is like that. Count your blessings - most people would be happy if their worst experience would be only twice as bad as this.
