When there were multiple years between Mac OS releases, it was not as difficult. I also found big cat names easier to remember (perhaps because I’m more familiar with them than California landmarks). I also liked the Leopard/Snow Leopard and Lion/Mountain Lion cadence. Perhaps I just don’t put as many cycles into following Apple anymore.
