I'm using one right now, running Debian 11. The X220 is pretty near trashed but I do watch videos on it sometimes. I haven't noticed it heating up.

- lproven 3y agoMy i5 X220 is a battered old much-repaired much-upgraded thing, but still works fine. Currently it runs ArcaOS but before that Haiku. My i7 X220 is like new, and works like it too. It is maxed out with 16GB RAM and two SSDs and performs well. I do wish the screen were a bit higher-res, though.
