This is actually really, really important. It sounds so simple. Self compassion takes a lot of work and I'm still awful at it. "There was just a better candidate for the job" helps me deal with getting turned down. You are worth the effort, your work deserves compensation at a reasonable value. You deserve a place and space in the world. You are gonna have to fight for it and you are not guaranteed it either, but you are deserving of it if you put the work in. Self compassion takes work.
