How is Quora still a going concern?
- jfengel 3y agoI guess it's cheap enough to run, given that they've cut staff to the bone. They've jettisoned human moderation, community management, and any kind of software development. What's left is some management, dev ops, and whoever is working on their AI product. Their high SEO means that they can apparently pay for that much out of ad placement. But they'll never pay back their hefty initial investment. They've been trying to position themselves to IPO, but if they haven't managed it by now it's hard to imagine how they ever will. The community keeps expecting the entire thing to just give up one day.
