Because the shutdown threats are traditional ceremonies at this point, I am not sure people are too stirred. There are only so many times the news media can try to convince me the government won’t pay its bills.
- pjc50 3y agoAfter Jan 6 it is no longer prudent to assume that people making threats are always bluffing.
- Auracle 3y agoI think we need a new Godwin’s law for January 6th.
- LordDragonfang 3y agoThere were at least a couple of Nazis there, so technically it's just an extension of the normal law
- birdyrooster 3y agoFair enough especially considering there is overlap in the congressional proponents of both the shutdown and ending free elections.
