500M in VC Funds. Blockchain L1. Homepage Is Broken in Firefox
- palmfacehn 3y agoA black screen in Firefox: >"Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)." As we go to the browser console, we see minified JS without a source map. Several megabytes of JS are loaded to present this homepage. The core product is called "Blockchain Operating System", a JS webapp framework based on on-chain storage. The homepage is served through this framework to demonstrate the product. Say what you will about the current era of JS everywhere for everything. Blockchain and AI hype is what it is. For 500M, at least deliver a working homepage. The Rust based smart contract toolchain was nice, but this is pure nonsense.
