Decoupling from China, while boosting Indian growth seems is such a big deal. India and the USA might not be geopolitical allies but the people sure as shit are - there's so many Desis here, that country loves us, and is a democracy. We absolutely should be pouring money there, into the country that's actively planning for a war against us.
